Salvatore Cumella

Dr. Cumella a native New Yorker, received his B.A. in Biology from George Washington University and graduated from the University of Monterrey Medical School. He was the Executive Producer of the live radio talk- show “Women For Women” (winner of the Gracie Allen Award in 2001) which discussed women’s health, social issues, politics, and business. An advocate for the disabled, women’s rights, and preserving his heritage and culture – Dr. Cumella has been the recipient of numerous honors and awards. In 2002, he was awarded the Ellis Island Medal of Honor. He was the “Man of the Year” recipient for Italian Charities of America and the Federation of Italian-American Organizations, and was inducted as an Associate member into the American Society of the Italian Legions of Merit. He had served on the Board of the Forum’s Children of the World Foundation, and now serves on the Executive Boards of ABRUD (American Brotherhood for the Disabled), SUN-B (Senior Umbrella Network of Brooklyn), and (male) member of NYWA (the NY Women’s Agenda) – a 150,000 women’s organization acting as one powerful voice. Dr. Cumella is presently the Exec V.P. of LENCO Diagnostic Laboratory and the President and CEO of Cumella Professional Services, a public relations and consulting firm.
