Human organ trafficking is one of the emerging issues in the globalizing world.
Almost all the facts about the illegal trade in organs is collected by criminal justice programs, security agencies, public health organizations and other informational sources, but despite that many countries are continuing to violate the existing law and regulations on organ trafficking.
The case in MEXICO CITY (AP) — Police in Mexico’s western state of Michoacan indicated once again, that kidnapping children and harvest their organs is a widespread way to make money.
Carlos Castellanos Becerra, the Michoacan state Public Safety Secretary, stated that those who are involved in the ring allegedly kidnapped children; these individuals took children to houses previously rented and supplied with medical equipment, killed the children and removed their organs.
Although kidnapping and organ trafficking is rather common in MEXICO CITY (AP), Mexican authorities don’t normally make big announcement on social networks.
It seems that the system of kidnapping, trafficking and the policy is so complicated and at the same time is somehow interrelated.
A vigilante group leader, Dr. Jose Manuel Mireles believes that the children had probably been kidnapped during a parent-approved excursion to the beach. The children were eventually returned to their parents. There was no indication on when this event had taken place, and Mireles did not answer calls to his cell phone.
The state of kidnapping and killing Mexican children due to harvest and sell their organs is clearly much more serious. Usually, an economic recession forces vulnerable people to turn to the black market in order to survive and generate money.
The World Heath Organization has estimated that 10 percent of organ transplantations that are performed worldwide involves the illegal trafficking of human organs.
